EAA will present Sport Pilot programs at Major Events in 2007
The Sun’n Fun Fly-In will be the first of several major fly-ins of 2007 at which EAA will have a major presence and present the latest in Sport Pilot information and programs. At Sun’n Fun 2007, EAA staff will present eleven forums related to the Sport Pilot initiative. EAA experts will be available throughout each day to answer all your questions on Sport Pilot, or for that matter any subject related to recreational aviation. Visit the EAA Member Village Tent to get all your questions answered. EAA will also be issuing Sport Pilot Student certificates at no cost to EAA members.
June and July will be very busy months for EAA staff. The EAA Southwest Regional Fly-In, also called the Texas Fly-In will be held in Hondo Texas, just outside San Antonio, on June 1 & 2. On June 22-The EAA Rocky Mountain Regional Fly-In will be held at Denver’s Front Range Airport. The next weekend, June 29-July 1, the Golden West EAA Regional Fly-In will be held at Marysville, California, just north of Sacramento. EAA’s manager of field relations, Ron Wagner will present forums on a variety of Sport Pilot related topics at each of these events.
The final EAA event before EAA AirVenture Oshkosh will be the Arlington Northwest EAA Regional Fly-In, at Arlington Washington, about 40 miles north of Seattle. This very popular event, which will be held from July-11-15, is the second largest EAA fly-in. Once again, Ron Wagner will present Sport Pilot forums each day. At all of the EAA Regional events, expect displays by various manufacturers of light sport aircraft.
EAA AirVenture Oshkosh will be the place to be for Sport Pilot activity in late July. Once again EAA will feature the very popular EAA LSA Mall, where you can see many of the latest light sport aircraft side by side. The LSA Mall will again be located right on Wittman Road south of AeroShell Square. A team of EAA Sport Pilot experts will staff the tent at the LSA Mall to answer any and all of your questions on this exciting entry point into recreational aviation. Several EAA staff experts will present a wide variety of forums on the Sport Pilot initiative. Once again, EAA will offer Sport Pilot Student Pilot Certificates to EAA members at no cost.
Wherever you are this spring and summer, EAA will offer Sport Pilot information and activity for you. Don’t forget to check http://www.eaa.org/avlinks/flyins.html for more information on national and regional events, and http://www.eaa.org/events/index.html for local events.
